As it was decided during the meeting in Madrid, the next edition of our annual Workshop will be organized as a Banach Center event and will take place in Będlewo (Poland), August 19-26, 2007, at the Mathematical Research and Conference Center of the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Participants are requested to arrive afternoon on Sunday, August 19, and to depart after breakfast on Sunday, August 26.

Format of the Meeting

The format of the meeting has been changed. We will have not a sharp splitting of topics among particular days. The program will be fixed by the Scientific Committee by suggestions of the people asked to prepare proposals for particular subjects. The next point is not to overload the program in order to leave enough time for discussions and interactions.

Main topics

1.     New geometrical tools in Mechanics (algebroids, groupoids, etc.)

2.      Constrained variational calculus

3.     Foundations of Quantum Mechanics and quantum computations

4.     Inverse problem

5.     Differential operators from geometrical viewpoint

A short communications session and the poster session are foreseen.

Participants who wish to present a short communication or a poster are kindly requested to notify it in the registration form.

Accommodation, fees, and support

Participants will be lodged at the Mathematical Research and Conference Center of the Mathematical Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. You will find there completely equipped conference halls and Internet connection, a 19th century palace, new hotel, and large park at your disposal.

Detailed information about prices will be send later (the price depends on the exchange rate) but one can expect the conference fee of the order of 300-350 EUR. This is slightly more that three years ago, but it is mainly due to the fact that Euro got weaker with respect to the Polish currency (Zloty – PLN), but it will cover all expenses: the full board, the conference dinner, and an excursion. We will try also to arrange some possibilities of transportation from the Poznań airport. You will be requested to pay the conference fee after your arrival in Będlewo.

Having some support from the Banach Center, we consider a price reduction for a number (preferably young) participants recommended by members of the Scientific Committee. No travel refunds are possible.
